Elwood Booster Club Donations to Elwood Public Schools exceeds $278,000!

We would like to thank all our donors and our community for their generous support of our programs and events. Since 2008, you have enabled Elwood Booster Club to donate over $278,000 to support arts, academics and athletics in Elwood Public Schools as follows:

Academic Materials and Programs $86,000

Student Activities and Clubs $62,000

Major Renovation of the JGHS Baseball Field $43,000

JGHS Track Refurbishment $20,000

Harley and Boyd Playground Renovations $20,000

Elwood Music Equipment and Trips $27,000

TOTAL DONATIONS SINCE 2008 Approx $278,000

As of June 2016, our 2015-2016 donations to Elwood Public Schools exceeds $68,000. Funding included technology at JGHS, HW club at Boyd, the restoration of the International Club, Robotics Club, TV/Media Club and Morning Homework Club at Elwood Middle School, Math Club at the Elwood Middle School and a sensory room at Harley.

In 2014-2015, our donations to Elwood Public Schools exceeds $30,000 and  funded leveled libraries at the Harley Avenue Elementary and James H. Boyd Intermediate Schools and restored he International Club, Robotics Club, TV/Media Club and Morning Homework Club at Elwood Middle School. This would not be possible without your generosity.  Thank you!

The EBC is proud to announce two recent donations to the Elwood School District totalling $10,000.  These donations included $9,000 to help fund the installations of the new fifth grade playground at Boyd Intermediate School and $1,000 for new uniforms for the JGHS men's tennis team.  Thank you to all our donors, members and club supporters that made these donations possible!

Join us as we celebrate St. Baldrick's Day in Elwood.  March 9th from 4:30-7:30 pm at Boyd.  Many will shave their heads and donate their talents in memory of Elwood students Sarah Boss & Matthew Lawrence.  We also celebrate the continued recovery of Grace Franzese, a student at JGHS.  

December 23, 2011: The Elwood Booster Club donated $2,500 to the Elwood School District to be used to fund Middle School Student Programs.

In cooperation with a group of Elwood residents, we are helping to raise $35,000 in 2011-2012 to renovate the JGHS Varsity Baseball field. This project will be funded completely by private donations & proceeds from various activities and EBC events such as Night at the Theater.

On October 21, 2011 Elwood Booster Club donated $20,000 for the renovation of the JGHS track.  Per discussions with district administration, this donation will be used to supplement district capital project funds earmarked for the track renovation project.  This donation was funded primarily through last fall's walkathon, the after school club progams and yankee candle sales.  Thank you to all our members and community residents whose generosity and support of EBC programs helped make this donation possible! 

On September 6, 2011, EBC made a donation of $2,500.00 to Elwood UFSD to support the Elwood John H. Glenn High School music programs. Specifically, we hope this donation will help supplement and enhance the rehearsal/meeting schedule for select music groups including jazz band, chamber choir, chamber strings and other performing groups.  We would like to acknowledge the generous support of our members and especially the patrons at our Night at the Theater Event on August 24, 2011 which helped make this donation possible.

The Elwood Booster Club is pleased to announce a $5,600 donation to the Elwood Union Free School District for the installation of playground equipment at the James H. Boyd Intermediate School on Cuba Hill Road.  The playground equipment to be installed was funded through a grant from the Ronald McDonald Foundation. We anticipate the playground will be ready for use by the fall.

We would like to acknowledge the generous donation of $3,000 to our organization by Harley Care towards this project. We also are indebted to Heather Mammolito for her leadership, dedication and enthusiasm that inspired this project.
